  • Good evening PABB, Actually, it happens also in the PCBWay viewer. I mean the problem, so if the PCBWay viewer shows the problem, when ordering a bunch of boards are they coming with this interpreation mistake too? Thank you :)

  • It's a problem with the settings of the gerber browsers. Below you will find a screenshot of the project in SprintLayout :)

  • Good evening PABB. The last revision has some issues with some lines that overlays holes/connections. At least it is what some gerbers viewers shows... The picture shows some of them (but not all). Is it a mistake from viewers? Thanks for your work

  • Is there any way of getting the original files to modify them? Want to make a version to easier allow for different sized Capacitors to be able to use ones that are still manufactured, especially ones in positions such as C1.

  • is it possible to make a pcb for two types of capacitors? For axial and ordinary threaded.

I'll check if there is enough free space on PCB :)

I would suggest adding a power modification that was introduced in issue4b and later models. Safeguarding the memory of our zx. http://8and16bit.blogspot.com/2019/08/zx-spectrum-16k-48k-and-plus-models-dc.html?m=1

That doesn't safeguarding the memories. In fact I have some Issue6A that very often get burned TRs and destroy some Low Memory ICs. By what I have seen repairing boards... Issue3B is the most reliable, at least has a minor number of problems.

  • Nice to read you again PABB, I have seen also your adaptor for EPROM, my suggestion in this line is a revision of this board already with the points to be able to use it with a ROM or EPROM. For my experience the easiest way is similar to how could be done in a Issue6A. Of course by jumper that also could be converted in an external switch by the user if it is desirable. Another good improvement could be two holes where solder in directly a reset or a jumper (corned). Here is a little photo of my implementation just an idea pretty similar to yours, nothing special.

  • Hi. I just uploaded your gerber files for production and the engineer says that the silkscreen layer is missing from the files.

Hi Dimitrios. Please, ask an engineer to check it once more - I'm pretty sure, that all necessary layers are present in a project (I've checked it a few minutes ago - it's OK) :) Silkscreen files are named - "ZX Spectrum Issue 3B v6 rev3 - solder mask_silkscreen_top.gbr", "ZX Spectrum Issue 3B v6 rev3 - solder mask_silkscreen_bottom.gbr" Let me know if you'll have any problems...

    Thank you very much!
