(DIY) COMMODORE 128 785260 DIAGNOSTIC CARTRIDGE

This is a 785260 Diagnostic Cartridge for Commodore C128, C128D, C128DCR.

This is a tested and working circuit. This cartridge has been tested on C128DCR

Commodore-128 785260 Diagnostic Cartridge is an easy DIY project, all components are through hole, marked on the PCB, easy to solder, easy to make ;)

This cartridge is designed to be plug-and-play, user-friendly, and does not require any hardware or jumper adjustments. Just insert the cartridge and turn on your Commodore 128.

Components List:

1pcs. 27c64 or 27c128 or 27c256 or 27c512 or w27c512 (DIP28) (needs to be programmed)

1pcs. DIP28 Wide IC Socket

1pcs. 100nf ceramic 2.54 pitch Capacitor

0.36'' 3 Digit LED two-wires DC Voltmeter (Optional, for monitoring 5V system voltage)

Right Angle Tactile Button (Optional, For RESET Button)

Please choose "Edge connector YES and Bevelling Yes (45°)

The 785260 Diagnostic Cartridge is not enough to test everything, I made some simple PCBs for you, to test the input / output ports. (Except the keyboard dongle, they are the same as the Commodore-64 586220 Diagnostic dongles.)

There are a total of six dongles (5 PCBs) in four projects.

You just need to make an extra serial port (disk drive port) dongle using DIN6 male connector and two cables without using PCB.

In order to protect your electronical devices, always turn off your Commodore computer before connecting or disconnecting the cables or any other device.
