Description
dual power supply circuit with LM317 and LM337
The lm337 and lm317 are adjustable voltage regulators that can be used to create a dual power supply. A dual power supply is a circuit that provides both positive and negative voltages of the same magnitude.
This is useful for powering devices that require a symmetrical voltage source, such as operational amplifiers.
The lm337 and lm317 can be configured to output any voltage between 1.2V and 37V by adjusting the values of two resistors. The input voltage must be higher than the output voltage by at least 3V.
The lm337 is used for the negative output, while the lm317 is used for the positive output. The circuit also requires two capacitors for filtering and stability.
