This is an adapter board for a 160x80 TFT LCD display.

This inexpensive display has a high resolution. It can display 3 lines with a 24pt font, as shown in the screenshot.

Note that the screenshot showing the working display is not using the adaptor board, but it is the same circuit and 160x80 display.

The 8 pin 1mm pitch FFC connector shares the same pinout as two of my other display board adaptors. This makes it somewhat easy to swap them between designs by swapping out the display classes in the software.

I have a GitHub project that contains classes and sample code that support these display modules as well as OLED and Nokia LCD PCD8544.

Using my SubsetFontCreator application you can simulate different font sizes to see how things behave/fit on this display.

The FFC type connector I use is “lower contact”, but upper could also be used. Just be mindful of this when purchasing cables. These connectors and cables are fairly common. I purchased the connectors at MKTstudio on AliExpress. MKTstudio provides the PCB layout drawing in case you purchase connectors somewhere else.

I also shared a breakout board for breadboarding.

All three boards are 3v3 with no onboard level shifting. In order to use this board with a MCU running at 5V you’ll have to implement level shifting.
