C64 SID Adapter
C64 SID Adapter allows you to use SID 8580 in place of SID 6581 which is normally not possible due to different voltages used by these chips.
Warning! Adapter does not allow using SID 6581 in place of SID 8580! Doing so will permanently damage the chip!

No, onboard capacitors are bypassed. The ones on the SID Adapter are used instead.
