  • Hi, just wondering if there is anyway to connect a regular C64 Keyboard or the Mechboard64 to this? Regards!

You can connect a regular C64 Keyboard to the other version of this project.(GEEKS' EDITION) . Thank you for asking.

  • We noticed that you updated the gerber. Does the BOM need to be updated?

No, the BOM does not need to be updated.

  • We build 15 pieces of this amazing project at the Amiga-Club Hamburg as a soldering-lesson for our members. Having a lot of fun building it and we learned a lot. Thank you very much for sharing this. Is it possible to get an Bare Metal Amiga in an equal size?

Hello to members of Amiga-Club Hamburg, I am proud that this PCB was chosen for the soldering lesson. I would be happy to do a similar project on the Amiga if I can find the appropriate software. Thank you :)

There are many Amiga Emulators. Amibian, Amiberry or PiMiga (https://retrogamecoders.com/raspberry-pi-amiga-emulation/). PiMiga is booting directly the Emulator and loads the Amiga-Workbench in about 30 seconds. What it needs, is an PCB with a keyboard with 96 keys and support for this via GPIO and of course the 2 Joystickports. Mouse could be connected to the PI-USB.

  • Thanks for your sharing. Should we install a 470 ohm resistor or a 680 ohm resistor at the location in the picture above?

    (DIY) C64iSTANBUL 2024-05-13 17:45:12Reply

Hello. This resistor is used to reduce the 5V voltage to the operating voltage of the LED. The value of the resistor can be changed depending on the operating voltage of the LED you use. Thank you for asking.

    PCBWay Team 2024-05-14 09:35:22Reply

Do you mean that resistance from 470 ohms to 1K is acceptable?

    (DIY) C64iSTANBUL 2024-05-14 12:51:00Reply

Yes. The value of the resistor may vary depending on the voltage and current values required by the LED used. Low value resistors cause the LED to glow brighter.

    Thanks, we get it.

  • Are there any good 3D prints cases for this wonderful bit of kit. I just love the small form factor. and would wish to protect it for a long time.

I am sorry, there are not any 3D prints case yet.

  • Hello. What size / Type Screws / Bolts do we need to hold together face plate ? I see they have to be a specific length as they also act as legs to stand on ? I am using Pi Zero 2 Kind Regards Richard

    (DIY) C64iSTANBUL 2024-03-03 21:29:38Reply

Hello, PCB hole dimension is 3.1mm. M2.5 or M3 is good for face plate. For piZero I think M2.5 is ok. The length is up to you. Thank you for asking.

  • Hi, would it be possible to have the pdf or dwg file of the PCB board so I can customize it? I would like to use bigger buttons. And move the DB9 connectors. Thank you. Sorry for my english

  • This looks amazing! Do you have any plans for a version with an LCD, joypad and buttons? That would be awesome!!! A bit like the following but BMC64 powered? https://uni64.com/shop/index.php?m=70&item_id=7470

Hello John. Thank you very much. When made with LCD and larger PCB, the cost increases significantly. My goal that I want to achieve is; The aim was to realize a concept similar to the ordinary Commodore64 with an inexpensive design, connect it to your big screen modern HDMI television at home, connect the joysticks just like you played it years ago, and experience the feeling of nostalgia. I'm not currently thinking of making a design with an LCD screen. Thanks for asking.
