COMMODORE VIC-20 CHARACTER ROM REPLACEMENT ADAPTER (MOS 901460-03)

This is a tested and working project. (Tested on a NTSC Commodore VIC-20 plugged to a C64 PSU)

This ROM adapter is suitable for replacing Commodore VIC-20 Character Generator ROM (For replacing MOS 901460-03)

COMPONENTS:

W27C512 or 27C512 or 27c256 or 27c128 or 27c64

4 PCS. 10K 1/8 WATT RESISTANCE

2 PCS. 12-PIN 2.54mm ROUND MALE HEADER

4 PCS. 2-PIN 2.54mm MALE HEADER (Optional. Only when using multiple ROMs)

4 PCS. 2.54mm JUMPER CAP (Optional. Only when using multiple ROMs)

28-PIN WIDE DIP IC SOCKET

24-PIN WIDE DIP IC SOCKET (For VIC-20 motherboard. If the VIC-20 motherboard character ROM is directly soldered.)

And you will need an eprom programmer to program 27c512

In terms of device and software security; please turn your Commodore VIC-20 off before switching between ROMs.

In order to protect your electronical devices, always turn off your Commodore VIC-20 before connecting or unconnecting any device.
