    Hi! The sensor you mentioned seems to be interchangeable, yes! Regarding the female header, at the time I assembled the board, this was just a temporary solution because I did not have any proper sockets. According to the datasheet of the TCD1304, the pitch of the pins is 2.54 mm and the width of the package is 10.16 mm. Therefore a DIP socket with similar dimensions should fit the sensor (and the PCB). I recommend a precision DIP socket. For example, 110-87-422-41-001101 seems to be a good candidate.
