Tektronix THS710, THS720, THS730 series oscilloscope button flat flex
This flat flex PCB is a direct replacement for the front panel on the Tektronix THS700 series portable scopes.

The original part is easy to damage as the plastic is brittle with age and the conductive ink used easily fractures when working on the scopes.
(Main image is an older revision, the gerbers provided here are verified 100% working).
This part should be ordered as 2-layer, 0.1mm thickness, immersion gold (ENIG) surface finish with 3M467 adhesive tape applied (The manufacturing instructions are already in the Gerber for the tape location, so it should be no problems during ordering).
The old flat flex can be removed from the aluminium panel in the scope with a heatgun or hairdryer.
Don't bother trying to remove the old adhesive, just peel the backing paper off the new flat flex and stick it straight on, making sure to line it up with the alignment holes and the outline properly.
The pin used are passed through the holes from top to bottom then pressed flat to slightly crease the flat flex flat.
Then when soldered, ensure it is soldered correctly on both sides to ensure a strong joint.
I used lead frame pins from ACT Japan, part number BQ04-SN but any flat lead frame type pins of this basic shape can be used.
DO NOT USE STANDARD SQUARE HEADER PINS!!!
You will damage the socket on the main board as it is only designed to accept flat pins!
