Build a meter with integrated circuit KA2284
KA2284 integrated circuit features
- High gain rectifier amplifier included (Gv = 26dB)
- Low radiation noise when the LED turns on
- Logarithmic indicator for 5-point LED bar type.
- Constant current output (15mA)
- Wide operating supply voltage range is between (3.5V ~ 16V)
- A diode or transistor is not necessary for the ALC or automatic volume control
- Minimum number of external parts required
The KA2284 is a monolithic integrated circuit.
This integrated circuit is very simple and does not have adjustment pins, in a normal way they cannot be connected in series and is designed to measure audio, and that is why it is logarithmic.
The ka2284 is an integrated circuit whose application is for the development of a logarithmic level meter, which has 5-level measurement, the encapsulation is of the 9-SIP package type.
One of the main advantages is that it has a high gain input, so we don't need a preamp to make it work, lowering construction costs.
