Hello,

This adapter allows you to use 8 different Kernals and Character Gen. ROMs with Commodore 64.

This adapter is suitable for C64 24pin ROMs

This is a tested and working circuit board.

You can download EPROM binary files from the bottom of this page.

The ZIP file contains two Sample 27c512 eprom images, inside them :

$0000 DEAD TEST 781220 and C64 CHARACTER GEN

$2000 SWEDISH KERNAL and SWEDISH CHARACTER GEN.

$4000 DANISH KERNAL and DANISH CHARACTER GEN.

$6000 JAPANESE KERNAL and JAPANESE CHARACTER GEN.

$8000 SWEDISH KERNAL2 and SWEDISH CHARACTER GEN2 (C2D007)

$A000 SD2iEC KERNAL 2.2 and C64 CHARACTER GEN.

$C000 TURKISH KERNAL and TURKISH CHARACTER GEN.

$E000 CUSTOM C64 KERNAL, CUSTOM C64 CHARACTER GEN.

(Character ROMs are 4KB, to make them 8KB I doubled them (appended each of them after itself)

You can find more kernals and character ROMs from internet and prepare your private eprom image files :)

A13, A14, A15 are used for changing the the kernal ROMs and character generator ROMs same time both together. You can use jumper caps or dupond cables with toggle switches.

Ps. In order to use this multi language ROM table, your Commodore 64's 901227 (U4 - kernal ROM) and 901225 (U5 - character gen. ROM) have to be desoldered and socketed.

Ps. Please be careful while soldering 12pin round male headers, they should be soldered 90' right angle, identical to each other.

In terms of device and software security; please turn your Commodore64 off before switching ROMs.

Gerber files can be changed at any time. Before paying for the PCBs, be sure to update your orders!
