This is an Easy DIY project, all components are through hole, marked on the PCB, Easy to solder, Easy to make ;)

Commodore 64 USB keyboard is a mini DIY C64 keyboard for Bare Metal C64 project and WinVICE emulator version 2.4.27

This PCB works as a USB Tactile Commodore 64 Keyboard. It can be recognized by both Vice emulator for Windows (version 2.4.27) and BMC 64 emulator.

There is an Arduino Pro Micro (Atmega32u4) slot on the PCB where arduino is used to convert the key input through USB as a USB keyboard device.

Keyboard matrix conversion is done by “Poor Man’s Keyrah” project by mcgurk which uses Soarer's Keyboard Controller firmware.

After flashing the Pro Micro and following the “setup” section on the link, you can directly apply the Pro Micro the the PCB to use.

In the Vice (version 2.4.27) or BMC64 emulators you need to set the keyboard to “Positional” to use all the characters correctly.

BMC64 emulator: - Menu - Keyboard Mapping - Positional

You can use this faceplate PCB for C64 USB KEYBOARD

You can also connect a real Commodore 64 keyboard to the pins 1 to 20 to use the real keyboard instead of the tactile keyboard through USB input.

24 pin wide IC socket

66pcs. 6x6x7mm 4-pin through hole tactile buttons (7mm when using 1.6mm faceplate PCB)

3mm Red LED

470ohm - 1K 1/4watt RESISTANCE (value changes LEDs brightness)

6pcs. screws and nuts. Fixing screw holes 3mm in diameter. (If using faceplate PCB)

Gerber files can be changed at any time. Before paying for the PCBs, be sure to update your orders!
