Custom DRO panel with ATTiny85
This PCB allows you to replace the original display of the DRO or just use it as a secondary one. It can be useful if you need a larger display, or your original piece was damaged...etc. I added USB ports both for powering the circuit and connecting the DRO, but I also made it possible to directly solder the wires (or terminals) on the board. A tare button is also added to the circuit so you can always reset the readings to zero.
Part list:
LD33V voltage regulator
5 V side capacitor: 100 nF, 16 V
3.3 V side capacitor: 10 uF, 16 V
A general LED (I used blue, it fits the red board nicely)
1k5 resistor for the LED (this might depend on the desired brightness and LED color)
6 mm button switch for taring
4k7 resistor for the 6 mm button
DIP-8 socket for the ATTiny85 (optional, but recommended)
ATTiny85 microcontroller
4-pin header for the i2c display
4-pin header for the DRO pins
2-pin header for the 5V input (instead of USB 5 V)
Mini USB connector for DRO (Wurth Elektronik, 65100516121)
Micro USB connector for 5 V input (Amphenol PCI, 10103594-0001LF)
