  • hello, would you share the firmware source code? In the video I can see, near the end, the TapeCreate, an Delphi program, I think it's a GUI of the commands. Where can I get it? greetings and thanks.

  • Hi, Just a question: is TapeXUM suitable for so called "halfwave" C16 TAP files. I'd like to create TAP from C16 cassettes which are saved with loader/turbo. Thanks for your reply in advance!

  • Greetings. Since my last comment I have been able to establish some control over a fully built TapeXUM, but some issues persist. Could I make a suggestion that the developer of the project updates his GitHub repository to include a basic Wiki or user guide on operational usage of the device? For example, when should LEDs turn on and off, what programs do what. What should datasette do and not do when being used to capture or write data. I would also suggest a basic user interface program to help, especially in accessing the Azimuth test which I have yet been unable to locate. Thankyou for your time.

Hey, I'm simply not the right person to write documentation, because of my "not the very best" English. Azimuth adj. tool is named tapfit. ZoomTape was originally meant to be used from a command line, and the original tools are: tapread, tapwrite, cap2tap, tap2cap. Each tool will output its help if no parameters are given.

    *forgot to mention tapcontrol tool

  • Hi. Is this OK to use this module: https://shopee.pl/Baipestotoy-Pro-Micro-ATmega32U4-5-V-16-MHz-Wymie%C5%84-ATmega328-Arduino-Pro-Mini-i.550891774.12958189188 ? Is the hex: https://github.com/r1me/TapeXUM/blob/main/firmware/xum1541-PROMICRO_TAPE-v08.hex compatibile with CPU on linked module? Thank you for any feedback. Best regards Mariusz

Hey, yes that's a right footprint Arduino Pro Micro (there are few other versions that wouldn't fit). The one you've linked will work correctly for this project.

  • Greetings. I am now slowly progressing through building this item, and I have a few issues i feel i need to highlight. The BOM you provide is not consistent in places with the BOM provided on the GitHub project page. You should advise if any values were changed for specific reasons. Additionally, there appears to be a 3 pin header which controls voltage, showing USB/EXT on the silkscreen. No comments regarding how this should be set are provided. Finally, you should cover the DC Power Supply Unit, wether it should be Center Tip Positive or Negative, and ideal amperage supply. I would recommend updating the project description to cover these points when you can.

    Thanks, I've updated project description.
