How can we help?

Risk of shrinkage when thickness exceeds 5mm

When printed parts are thicker than 5 mm, they are prone to shrinkage, which can seriously affect the quality, accuracy and overall performance of the final product. To address this potential problem, it is recommended that the print thickness be reduced to 3 mm or 5 mm, depending on the design requirements and materials used.

Additionally, when working with hollow parts, it is vital to ensure that the internal resin fluid flows properly to avoid defects. To do this, we strategically place openings in the design to allow excess resin to drain during the printing process. After the resin has drained, these openings are then refilled and sealed to maintain the structural integrity and aesthetics of the part. Not only does this method help minimize shrinkage, it also ensures a higher quality, more accurate final product that is free of internal defects.
