Line Break Detector With Alert System
Line Break Detector With Alert System is a mechanism which helps the consumer and KSEB officers to detect where a power failure occurs. In India, a major problem existing with connection to electricity field is the time delay in rebuilding the electricity after a power failure. It becomes more difficult on furious weather conditions. Through this project we can easily detect the breakage or voltage drop across the transmission line and will inform the breakage to authorities and consumers related to that concerned transmission line with the location of the breakage. This will ease the reconnection of electricity. Future goal of this project is the early prevention of power failure without the inconvenience of users.
A developing country mainly needs power transmission to improve their growth economically. Especially India, Sri Lanka and other developed countries are transmitting power throughout wires. A power source is the basic requirements for human life to do their own activities. Nowadays one of the most important problem faced by our nation is power failure because of line breaking due to natural disasters or manmade mistakes and other many conditions. These unexpected happening may affects the ordinary people and most of the times it is very difficult to find where the line breaks. This makes it difficult to restore electricity. Our project aims to solve this problem. This project is used to identify defect positions and locate the accurate place where damage has occurred and corresponding details were send to the authority person via SMS to repair the transmission line as soon as possible. The design use the technologies which include Arduino uno, and voltage sensor module.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The difficult in detecting the breakage or voltage drop across a transmission line is the problem here. This is a major factor affecting the time delay of electricity reconstruction. During night there is a chance of power failure due to the breakage of transmission line caused by the wind and rain, during this situations it is difficult to locate the exact position of the breakage due to the lack of light and furious weather conditions. By solving this problem we have a faster and transparent reconstruction of electricity.
SYSTEM DESIGN
This project is used to identify defect positions and locate the accurate place where damage has occurred and corresponding details were send to the authority person via SMS to repair the transmission line as soon as possible. The design use the technologies which include Arduino uno, and voltage sensor module. The fault position of accurate spot are transmitted to an authority person by the way of SMS. This system uses Arduino uno, and voltage sensor module. An AC voltage sensor module will detect whether the power supply is failed or not. The output pin of the module is connected to the Arduino uno. If power failure occurs the output from the AC voltage sensor will be null. At this situation, Arduino uno will detect and send an alert signal to the mentioned servers in the form of SMS or Email.
