Project Objective
The objective of this project is to develop a modular and functional housing for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), aimed at facilitating the assembly and integration of automation systems. The enclosure was designed to accommodate essential components, such as a 16x2 LCD display, four control buttons, 24V power outputs and connections for up to four relays, in addition to being compatible with 25mm DIN rails.
With a focus on accessibility and practicality, the project aims to offer a solution that allows easy customization and 3D printing, meeting the needs of electronic project developers in different applications.

The dimensions of the electronic enclosure are shown below.
Below we will present the structure of the internal housing and its dimensions. The structure was developed to allow the developer to install some electronic boards, such as: control circuit, button board and relays to activate loads. To help you develop your circuit board from this electronic enclosure, we provide a model with the interna dimensions for you to consider during the development process of your PCB.
From the dimensions above we can develop the structure of the electronic board and determine the best position for each electronic component.
In addition to the cover and base, we have connectors for 35 mm DIN rail. This allows for more flexibility in the installation of the electronic housing.
To fix the connector to the DIN rail, we use 4 screws to fix it to the base of the controller. In the attachments of this article you can find the step file with each 3D part.

These DIN rail connectors have 2 holes for fixing to the base structure of the housing using screws. Below we present the screws for fixing to the electronic enclosure structure.

Assembly Process
The assembly process is very simple and is represented by the structure below. The electronic housing does not require screws to fix the base and the lid, as it uses a press fit system, which ensures a simple fit and opening.
